Amount per 10,000 gallons
| To change | Product | Amount per 10,000 gal |
|---|---|---|
| Raise FC 1 ppm | Liquid chlorine 12.5% | About 10 fl oz |
| Raise FC 1 ppm | Liquid chlorine 10% | About 13 fl oz |
| Raise FC 1 ppm | Cal-hypo 65% | About 2 oz |
| Raise FC 1 ppm | Dichlor 56% | About 2.4 oz (adds 0.9 ppm CYA) |
| Raise TA 10 ppm | Baking soda | About 1.4 lb |
| Raise CH 10 ppm | Calcium chloride 77% | About 1.25 lb |
| Raise CYA 10 ppm | Cyanuric acid | About 13 oz |
| Raise salt 100 ppm | Pool salt | About 8.3 lb |
| Lower pH / TA | Muriatic acid 31.45% | Depends on TA; use the pH calculator |
| Raise pH | Soda ash | Depends on TA; use the pH calculator |
Scale linearly: a 20,000 gallon pool needs twice these amounts. Acid and pH doses depend on alkalinity, so use the pH calculator for those.
Note: Add half the dose, wait for the pump to circulate it, retest, then add the rest. Product strength varies by brand; the label wins.
