Can I enter years of past readings, or does my history only start from today?
You can log a reading with any past date, so you can backfill recent history from your notebook or spreadsheet if you want a running start. Backfilling everything takes real time, though, most veteran owners just start fresh and let trend data build from here.
Does Skimmer replace my test strips or liquid test kit?
No, Skimmer doesn't test water itself. You keep using whatever test kit you already trust, strips, liquid reagents, or a digital reader, and log the results in Skimmer instead of a notebook.
What happens to my data if I switch phones?
Skimmer syncs through your own iCloud account, so your history moves with you when you sign into the same iCloud account on a new iPhone. There's no separate app account to set up or lose.
Can I add my own maintenance tasks, or only use the built-in schedule?
