The short version

Skimmer does not have a backend. Your pools, equipment, water test logs, chemical records, photos, and documents live on your device. If you opt into iCloud sync, your data is encrypted and synced through your own iCloud — we can't see it, and no third party can either.

What we collect

• Nothing on our servers. Skimmer has no account system, no email signup, no telemetry that leaves your phone.
• Apple's purchase events. If you subscribe to Skimmer Pro, Apple processes the purchase. We see only whether you are entitled to Pro features, not your payment details.
• Crash reports. If you opt into Apple's analytics (Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements), iOS may send Apple-mediated crash reports about Skimmer. We use these to fix bugs.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data. We have no data to sell.
• We don't track you across apps.
• We don't share your pool history with insurers, home buyers, inspectors, or anyone else — unless you choose to share the PDF yourself.

Permissions

• Photos. Only when you attach a photo to a service record or pool profile.
• Notifications. Only if you opt in to maintenance reminders.
• Files. Only when you attach a manual, warranty, or inspection PDF.
