Return jets are the outlets, usually small, adjustable nozzles along the pool wall, where water comes back into the pool after passing through the filter, heater, and any chemical feeders. Their number, placement, and angle are what create circulation across the whole pool rather than just near the equipment pad, which matters for even chlorine distribution and preventing dead zones where algae can take hold. Adjusting return jets to aim slightly downward and in a circular pattern around the pool is a simple, free way to improve circulation without changing pump run time.
